About the role
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer who enjoys building reliable systems that make data useful. You will develop pipelines, transformations, and shared platform capabilities, working with engineering and data stakeholders to understand their needs. This is a hands-on role for someone who writes maintainable Python, understands data warehousing, and cares about the security and operation of what they build.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and transformation workflows.
- Develop clean, testable Python code for extracting, transforming, and loading data.
- Contribute to data models, warehouse integrations, and reusable data platform components.
- Improve orchestration, deployment automation, data quality, and operational reliability.
- Work with stakeholders to translate data requirements into practical engineering solutions.
- Review code, document designs, and share knowledge with the engineering team.
Requirements
- At least four years of hands-on experience developing production data engineering solutions in Python.
- Experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, SQL, and reliable data transformation.
- A track record of delivering data solutions using modern cloud platforms and tools.
- Experience with shared data infrastructure, such as workflow orchestration, CI/CD, or infrastructure as code.
- Strong attention to testing, maintainability, data security, and operational support.
- Comfort using AI-assisted engineering tools and reviewing their output carefully.
- Strong English communication skills and the ability to work with engineering, product, and data stakeholders.
