About the role
We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer with strong React and TypeScript skills and practical Next.js experience. You will build reusable interfaces, connect them to backend services, and take responsibility for performance, accessibility, and code quality. Working alongside designers, product colleagues, and engineers in Sofia, you will help turn complex requirements into clear, usable experiences.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain responsive React and Next.js applications and reusable UI components.
- Translate designs into accessible interfaces that work reliably across browsers and screen sizes.
- Integrate APIs, manage application state and forms, and handle loading, validation, and error states carefully.
- Improve rendering performance, bundle size, and the overall user experience.
- Write and review tested, maintainable code and investigate frontend defects.
- Use AI-assisted coding tools thoughtfully, reviewing generated code and taking responsibility for everything you ship.
Requirements
- At least five years of professional JavaScript or TypeScript experience, including four years with React and two years with Next.js.
- Strong knowledge of React hooks, component lifecycles, and state management.
- Practical experience with Next.js routing, rendering strategies, server and client components, and hydration.
- Strong HTML and CSS skills and experience building responsive, accessible interfaces.
- Experience with REST or GraphQL APIs, Git, code reviews, and modern frontend build tools.
- Familiarity with form handling and validation using tools such as React Hook Form with Zod, or Formik.
- Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants in a real codebase while maintaining testing and review standards.
- Clear communication in English and the ability to collaborate with design, product, and engineering colleagues.
